The Schmidt Science Fellows program is an elite postdoctoral fellowship established in 2018 by Schmidt Futures, in partnership with the Rhodes Trust. It aims to develop the next generation of scientific leaders by enabling outstanding early-career scientists to pivot from their PhD discipline and pursue interdisciplinary research. Fellows undertake a 12–24 month postdoctoral placement in a world-class research environment that provides optimal support to develop their interdisciplinary science.
