
A secure online portal used by students, educators, grant managers, and partner organizations to interact with programs administered by the Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) — including financial aid, grant reporting, document submission, and communication with WSAC staff. It is part of WSAC’s digital systems for managing student and program data.
Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC)
The AIES supports students with financial need who have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian community in Washington State.
Students can use the scholarship at public and many independent colleges in Washington.
Program prioritizes upper-division and graduate students, but all applicants are considered.
Award Amounts: ~$500 to $3,000
Recipients Selected: 10–15 students per year
Funding can continue up to 5 years, but annual reapplication is required.
Many past recipients pursue careers in law, medicine, education, business, and resource management, often returning to support their tribal communities.
Applicants must:
Demonstrate financial need
Have close social and cultural ties to an American Indian community in Washington
Be enrolled or planning to enroll at an eligible Washington college or university

Create or log in to the AIES Online Portal
Complete the application form and upload all required attachments
Renewal applicants must complete the “Institutional Certification for Renewal Applicant” form with their institutional advisor and upload it
Applications can be worked on over multiple sessions; save progress before exiting
