Internship Overview

  • Duration: 11 weeks (May 18 – July 31, 2026)

  • Teams: Software Engineering (this internship), Finance, Data Science, Product Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, Technology, Operations, Merchandising, Pro, Home Services, Human Resources, etc.

  • Interns work on pre-assigned projects impacting the functional team.

Key Responsibilities

Planning & Analysis:

  • Use critical thinking to create solutions

  • Collaborate with senior leaders on assignments

Delivery & Support:

  • Collaborate with UX, engineering, and product teams to create secure, scalable, reliable software

  • Build skills under senior engineer guidance

  • Configure commercial off-the-shelf solutions to meet business needs

  • Create automation scripts for infrastructure and testing

Learning:

  • Participate in communities of practice for software development

  • Self-learn via tutorials, articles, and videos

  • Review and discuss code from senior engineers

  • Increase business acumen by learning other business areas


Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a relevant advanced degree

  • 0–1 years relevant work experience

  • Interest in collaborative, cross-functional software teams

  • Exposure to web front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery

  • Exposure to version control systems (preferably Git)

  • Experience in group environments or paired programming

  • Preferred GPA: 3.0+
